A man and a woman were in a serious but stable condition in hospital on Monday, after they were shot at their house in Willows, east of Pretoria, police said.
Captain Johannes Maheso said the couple heard a noise outside their house at around 9.50pm on Sunday. They went to investigate and found three armed men.
“The three men opened fire at them and ran away without taking anything from the house,” he said.
Netcare 911 spokesman Chris Botha said paramedics stabilised them on the scene and transported them by ambulance to a local private hospital for further medical treatment. – Sapa
